"I see the camera as an additional eye and brain with different qualities than the human ones I inherited.
Although guided by my human eye and brain, the camera often reveals to me a side of my surroundings that I had not anticipated. This motivates me to rediscover the world around me and share what I see through the lens.
I love colors, often bold colors, but photography has also revealed to me the power of black and white: this majestic simplicity that can draw a person into the image and lead them to the essence of the subject matter. I find joy in seeing the world in color but also love turning some scenes into black and white and lately into the surreal and mesmerizing tones provided by infrared photography.
I was trying to find a specialty for my photography, but I cannot settle on a particular subject or even a couple of them. As a result, I keep capturing what attracts my eye. Still, I did not want to throw all my images at the viewer in a great big jumbled pile. Therefore, I have organized them into a few categories that are dear to my heart. "
